Built by Hand. Proven on the Ice.
One man. One shop. One purpose.
Hi, I'm Tom Cole
the creator and fabricator behind Sonar Slide.
Like a lot of ice anglers, I got tired of the same problem — hauling my sonar system in and out of the truck every time I moved to a new spot. Between the cold, the hassle, and the wasted time, I figured there had to be a better way.
So, I built one.
The first Sonar Slide started as a one-off project in my shop — a simple aluminum rail that let me slide my sonar out for use and stow it away just as easily. I tested it out on the ice one weekend and saw right away how much easier it made things — less setup, more fishing. A few friends saw it in action and asked if I could make one for them, and that’s how Sonar Slide got its start.
One Man. One Shop. One Purpose.
Every Sonar Slide is built right here in my workshop, one at a time. I cut, machine, and assemble each unit myself, the same way I did that first prototype. There’s no big team, no assembly line — just me, making a product that solves a problem I know firsthand.
I take pride in keeping the design simple, the materials strong, and the performance reliable. My goal isn’t to build thousands of these — it’s to build them right.
For Ice Anglers, By an Ice Angler
If you’ve ever fought frozen straps or wrestled your sonar gear out of the truck in -10°F wind, you’ll understand why I built this. The Sonar Slide isn’t a gimmick — it’s built for people who’d rather fish than fuss with gear.
Thanks for checking out my work — and good luck out there on the ice!
